Description
Highly compacted Triassic conglomerate containing highly weathered clasts up to 1cm (some larger) in diameter of quartz, basalt and other igneous rocks. Matrix red in colour.
Although highly compacted and located close to an andesitic intrusion, despite this, the specimen is classified as sedimentary. Highly weathered clasts indicate source material weathered in a high energy watercourse.
